Spooks, Spectres and The Regent

Victoria, with its seaside location, crooked Gary Oaks, rocky outcroppings and century-plus buildings is a natural Halloween location that most movies studios couldn’t’ recreate. The Regent’s central location puts you square in the middle of spook central, so it’s easy to walk to your favorite haunt and have some seasonal fun.

This year Tourism Victoria and The Royal BC Museum are pulling out all the stops.

Take part in any aspect of TVic’s Fantastic Thriller-ism. From Ghost walks or Ghost Bus Tours that take you to any number of acclaimed haunted areas of Victoria, right to riding a Haunted Zipline, you can be as relaxed or active as you want. You might even be able to take in a LIVE theatre production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or the Little Shop of Horrors. There’s magnificently carved pumpkin tours, bon fires and even fireworks. Just let our front desk know what you’d like to do and they’ll be sure to point you in the right direction.

And at RBCM you can spend a spooky evening enjoying Night Shift: Nightmare at the Museum, an interactive evening inspired by all the things spooky and eerie. From the creepy-crawly to the downright terrifying, Nightmare at the Museum will showcase a side of the Royal BC Museum patrons have never seen before. The museum will come alive with dancing, delicious drinks and bites, live local music, spooky ghost tours, haunted forests and diabolical decorations.

Luckily you can make your way back to the comfort (and safety) of your suite at the end of the evening for a peaceful night’s rest. You just might want to look under the bed first!
