Vic Regent Picks: Dinner with Friends

It’s that time of the year again – and we’re not referring to Christmas!

No, it’s time to reconnect with loved ones, family, and friends – and the best way to do that is to break bread together, to enjoy delicious food and drink. The question then becomes ‘where do we go?’

Fortunately, Victoria has options in abundance, some of which we have talked about before here, here, and here. There are so many options it can be difficult to narrow it down, but we will try!

The Livet opened this past august by Graham Meckling, owner of local favourite Stage Wine Bar (Vancouver Magazine Restaurant of the year 2015 & 2016). While The Livet may be more of a warm weather venue (the patio is spectacular) the pedigree of the cuisine is fantastic and the location – across from the Royal Theatre downtown – make it a must-visit, especially if you happen to be here already to catch the latest show.

Even closer you can find Bodega, a recently-opened tapas and wine bar just down the street and next door to The Tapa Bar Restaurant. Trounce Alley has long been the location for fantastic bites to eat, and now there are even more reasons to go.

If you’re looking for a place to share bites and beverages with family or friends, you can’t go wrong with one of these!
