There’s no Place Like Victoria in Spring
By February trees are starting to bud and by the end of the month the earliest cheery tree blossoms are lining the roadway – there’s just no place quite like Victoria in springtime.
By April 1st, daffodils are showing their smiling yellow faces, tulips in all ranges of colors, green lawns and dark pink flowering cherry trees show that British Columbia’s capital is like a spring time paradise.
Warmer weather in May sees new visitors escaping the end of the winter doldrums and arriving by ferries, float planes, cars, and buses. While you are able to golf year-round on southern Vancouver Island, the links are in especially great shape, perfect for a round after spending Sunday brunch at a local eatery.
There are few places in Victoria where you can watch or be perfectly situated to participate in the sights and sounds of springtime other than at The Victoria Regent. Spend the morning with a cup of coffee in hand, lounging in the sun on one of our massive decks watching the comings and goings from the Inner Harbour.
Or, maybe you’ll be so inspired you’ll put on a pair of sneakers, head out our front door and into the urban landscape (no jacket required).
