Visit Beautiful Dallas Road
Next time you’re on Vancouver Island, experience Victoria the way the locals do by visiting Dallas Road!
Dallas Road is located approximately 2 kilometers from the Victoria Regent. Winding its way along Victoria’s southernmost point, this scenic route boasts gorgeous views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and across the water to the stunning Olympic Mountain range in Washington State. Walk along the seawall all the way from historic James Bay to Clover Point Park for dazzling views of the wild Pacific.
In both summer and winter alike, locals flock to the breakwater at Ogden Point, a concrete wall that juts out into the ocean to protect the harbour from the force of the waves. Built in 1916, Victoria’s breakwater offers a walkway all the way across the top of the wall to an idyllic lighthouse. The railings on either side, which, interestingly, were only added in 2013, make this walk safe for adults and children alike.
