Spring Festivals
We talked a lot about our Summer Festivals last year, but this year we’re going to start a bit earlier and cover some of the fantastic local events that start happening right outside our doors when Spring arrives. Victoria’s Festival Season is about to begin!
May 17-28 we have the 20th anniversary of Uno Fest, a solo performer-focused theatre festival that sees performers from Victoria and across the globe gather for two weeks of theatre. It’s North America’s longest-running festival of solo performance!
It’s also a banner year for the 154th(!) Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival, which will be hosting the largest event in its history (it’s already the largest Scottish cultural event in Western Canada), with more than 25,000 people expected in Topaz Park on May 20 through 22.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for the bigger events coming this Spring! If you’re planning on visiting us during that time, be sure to check them out. Victoria is home to hundreds of festivals, so you can be forgiven for not knowing or attending them all!
